"ScriptStrip", bringing the power of AppleScript a little closer to the user.
"ScriptStrip" requires its companion application "ScriptStrip Services" to be running in order to function. SS Services is a background only application which should not need any more than 300k, sorry, but I was told running scripts from a Control Strip was a bad idea, this was the only was I could get it to work reliably.
"ScriptStrip" looks for a folder named "Scripts" in the System Folder, it will create it if it doesn't exist. It places any scripts it finds there into a menu. Then after selecting them they will be executed by "ScriptStrip Services". The scripts must be compiled prior to running.
You can start and stop recording from "ScriptStrip", upon finishing recording the new script will appear on the desktop. You can also Drag scripts onto the "ScriptStrip Services" icon to execute them.
By holding down the Command key and clicking on the strip an alternate menu appears, this lets the user force "ScriptStrip Services" to quit ( the only way to do so), open the scripts folder, or Rescan the Scripts folder. The last one shouldn't be necessary, it should be done automatically, but it may be needed under certain circumstances.
ScriptStrip is free, although I retain all ownership rights.
